FAQ

Common questions

Is MokenLogic free?

Yes. The free plan includes 15 Credits per month with no payment required to start. Upgrade to Pro or Max when you need more capacity.

Is pricing per user or per usage?

MokenLogic uses a monthly subscription with included Credits. 1 Credit equals $1 of AI usage, billed by the actual cost of what a task consumes. When included Credits run out, Pro and Max draw from your Top-up balance ($10 · $25 · $50 · $100 packs that carry over month to month); the Free plan pauses until the next monthly reset.

Is my data processed only on my Mac, or does it go to the cloud?

Storage is local by default — your chats and uploaded files stay on your Mac. AI inference runs in the cloud: message content travels over an encrypted connection to MokenLogic's cloud, then to the LLM provider for model processing. Two optional features — Episodic Memory and Session Share — are off by default and only involve the cloud once you enable them.

Does MokenLogic use a specific AI provider, or does it run locally?

MokenLogic isn't tied to any single AI provider. Your requests run over an encrypted connection through MokenLogic's cloud, which routes them to a managed LLM provider. There is no fully-offline local inference mode in the standard desktop app today.

When you say "data is local," what exactly does that mean?

It refers to storage: chats and uploaded files stay on your Mac by default. AI inference runs in the cloud over an encrypted connection; the LLM provider does not use your data to train its models. By default, MokenLogic does not train any AI model on your data either. If you enable Episodic Memory, MokenLogic uses that data to train a personalized memory model used only for you — it does not feed into any shared model, and the LLM provider never receives it for training. Using external channels (Slack, Lark, WeCom, etc.), session sharing, or cloud orchestration tasks routes the relevant content through MokenLogic's cloud when those features are active.

Can MokenLogic run fully on-premises for my business?

Yes — for Business customers, MokenLogic can run fully on-premises with Ollama and the open-source models it serves. Contact us for a plan: contact@mokenlogic.com
